We’re thrilled to celebrate our wedding weekend with you in the beautiful mountains of Sparta, NC! Below, you’ll find information on travel, lodging, and important directions to the venue.

Getting To Sparta, NC

By Air: For those flying in, the closest major airports are Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) (approximately a 2-hour drive from Sparta) and Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) in Greensboro (about 1.5 hours away).

By Car: Sparta is accessible by car from several major cities, including Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem. Since many family members will be arriving from out of state, we suggest coordinating car rentals or arranging carpools to make travel easier.

Important Directions To Winter Wood Farm

Our venue, Winter Wood Farm, is nestled in a scenic area that GPS systems may not navigate accurately. Please follow these specific directions once you reach the center of Sparta:

From the intersection of HWY 18 and HWY 21, take HWY 21 N for about 3 miles.
Bear right at Twin Oaks Store and stay on HWY 21 N toward Virginia for another 1.1 miles.
Turn right onto Lon Mack Rd and follow it for about 0.7 miles.
At the end of Lon Mack Rd, turn left onto New Haven Rd.
Continue on New Haven Rd for 0.9 miles, then turn left at New River Baptist Church (the little rock church) to stay on New Haven Rd.
Drive for another 0.9 miles, and Winter Wood Farm will be on the right, just past a large white farmhouse.
Turn right into the driveway, head up the hill, and then turn left into the barn driveway after you come out of the woods.
There will be signs along the way to guide you—take it slow and enjoy the scenery!
